ROXAS CITY, Capiz – There was no foul-play in the case of a 17-year-old girl who was found dead inside her room Saturday morning in Brgy. Tiza here.
The Capiz Provincial Crime Laboratory Office under Police Lieutenant Colonel Joe Martin Fuentes told reporters here that Inday (not her real name) died of appendicitis.
Fuentes said mefenamic acid tablets were found in her room, indicating that she may have taken the medicine to ease the pain from her swollen appendix which later burst and contaminated her body.
The hematoma found in her body may be due to “postmortem lividity” or “livor mortis”.
According to Inday’s friend, the victim asked her through cellphone to buy fruits last Saturday.
The friend obliged and brought the fruits to the victim’s house. But she was shocked when she saw the lifeless Inday on her bed.
The friend said Inday told her about her boyfriend and her pregnancy. It was learned that the victim is six months pregnant.
