Teen Caught with PHP748K Worth of Shabu in Iloilo City

A teenage boy was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation on the night of June 18 in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The suspect, identified as alias Jben, 19, and a resident of Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo, Iloilo City, was caught in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao.
Officers from Iloilo City Police Station 10 arrested him after selling a sachet of suspected shabu for PHP15,000.
During a body search, police found five more sachets of suspected shabu and several drug and non-drug paraphernalia.
Captain Val Cambel, chief of ICPS 10, said the seized drugs weighed around 110 grams with a standard drug price of PHP748,000.
Cambel added that the suspect operated under known drug personalities, whom he referred to as his “bosses.”
The suspect reportedly sourced his supply based on orders placed by clients.
Jben’s areas of operation included the Mandurriao and Arevalo districts.
He is now in custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
