The year 2020 had been a good year for Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).
Brigadier General Rolando Miranda, Western Visayas, attributed this feat to his predecessor, Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, whom he claimed steered PRO-6 to greater heights.
“So, this 2021, I’m planning to make it better at kung kaya kong lagpasan, gagawin natin yan dahil unang una, sabi ko nga I want the 100 percent commitment of our police officers and my role as a regional director is to motivate, to inspire them, to provide, to incentivize para mas maging productive sila,” he said following the New Year’s Call.
As Regional Director, Miranda said his role is to make everybody a productive part of the peace and order campaign and public safety services in Panay Island and Negros Occidental.
“For those who don’t toe the line, we have to make a drastic move to remove them in office. I’m a team player. If you’re not a team player, you better go,” he added adding, “hindi ka pwedeng tumagal sa akin if you’re not a team player.”
In his New’s Year’s Call speech, Miranda noted that 2020 is the most peculiar year for every Filipino and the whole world owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is in this year that the heroic deeds of our police personnel who were juggling their usual law enforcement functions and other police operations, maintenance of peace and order and security and the implementation of the health protocols and contact tracing efforts altogether were highlighted,” he said.
