BACOLOD CITY — Three individuals, including a teacher, died in a motorcycle collision in Barangay Malabuhan, Siaton, Negros Oriental, on Sunday night.
The fatalities were identified as “Rolly,” 36, a teacher; “James,” 26, a farmer; and his backrider, “Aquino,” 54.
All three were residents of Barangay Casalaan in Siaton town.
According to Police Master Sgt. Jose Marie Tayko, traffic investigator of the Siaton Municipal Police Station, the crash occurred when James attempted to overtake another vehicle and veered into the opposite lane, resulting in a head-on collision with Rolly’s motorcycle.
Rolly was traveling toward Bayawan City, while James and Aquino were headed toward Dumaguete City.
All three sustained severe injuries and were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, Tayko said.
