A PUBLIC elementary school teacher who was arrested in a police anti- narcotics operation tested negative for illegal drug use.
Contrary to earlier reports, Jonaseth Aguirre had no traces of prohibited substances in her body.

Aguirre, 45, a Grade 2 teacher at A. Mirasol Memorial School in Bagangay Q. Abeto, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, was collared at her home in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Arevalo district on July 17, 2019z
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 5 and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested the suspect after selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P5,000.
Police Major Marlon Valencia, ICPS5 chief, said 10 more sachets of shabu were seized from Aguirre’s possession.
Meanwhile, the arrest of Aguirre came as a surprise to her co-workers.
School principal Mila Engalgado said she never had an inkling that Aguirre was into illegal drug trade.
Engalgado also described Aguirre as a passionate teacher. She was also regarded as a performer and a seasoned teacher having worked at the said school for five years.
