ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police arrested the top 4 most wanted person in Tapaz, Capiz, on Wednesday, June 3, after serving a warrant of arrest in Barangay Poblacion.
Authorities also recovered an unlicensed firearm during the operation.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Imaw,” 38, a resident of Barangay Inayawan in Tapaz.
The suspect is facing a murder charge, with no bail recommended.
During the arrest, police recovered a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with seven live rounds tucked in the suspect’s waist.
The suspect failed to present documents proving the legality of the firearm.
He is under the custody of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Police said charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him.
