A barangay tanod turned himself in after he allegedly stabbed to death his neighbor on the evening of Oct. 5 in Molo, Iloilo City.
Alias Dodoy, 57, of Zone 2, Barangay Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City, voluntarily surrendered to a barangay official more than an hour after the knife attack that left a 29-year-old man dead.
According to reports, Rey, who worked as a delivery worker, and three of his friends passed by the area where alias Dodoy’s son was.
The suspect’s son allegedly cautioned them against making noise because there were kids already asleep.

The commotion left the suspect’s son at a disadvantage.
When the suspect learned what happened, he immediately grabbed a knife and ran after the group.
He was able to go after Rey and stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but died while undergoing treatment around 1 a.m. on Oct. 6.
