IT was an exciting and noble day of arts and culture when Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation, Inc. (AIEFI) finally unveiled its annual fundraising event dubbed “Tahum Pop-Up Festival” at the cool Iloilo Convention Center.
Led by AIEFI President Marjorie Ann C. Florete and officers, with the full support of Sr. Anna Carmela Pesongco, R.A. (School Director of Assumption Iloilo) and Sr. Fe Emmanuel Beltran, R.A. (School Superior), “Tahum,” a Hiligaynon word which means “beautiful,” embodies this year’s pop-up stores of celebration through the diverse ingenuity of Filipino entrepreneurship from all over the country.
Shoppers had a chance to buy the artistic showcase of local products from fashion, lifestyle, curated home pieces, and cuisines, and to meet multiple artisans, designers, and food creators as we witnessed their love for the arts.
“Beyond festivities and business, Tahum was a successful fundraising project of the Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation, Inc. with this 50th year celebration this year of service with the theme ‘Harnessing Opportunities and Promises through Education’ or Echoes of H.O.P.E. This three-day weekend event definitely proves that through Tahum, dreams of a better future are possible through our advocacy to raise funds and give scholarships to underprivileged communities,” proudly said AIEFI President Marjorie Ann C. Florete.
