Synology has officially announced the availability of PAS7700 in the Philippines, positioning the active-active all-flash NVMe storage system for enterprises running high-performance and mission-critical operations.
The launch comes as Philippine enterprises accelerate digital transformation and adopt data-intensive technologies such as artificial intelligence and analytics.
For these organizations, storage is no longer merely a place to keep data.
It has become a core foundation for mission-critical operations, where performance, service continuity, and long-term stability directly affect productivity and business resilience.
“PAS7700 reflects Synology’s 25+ years of experience in storage and our close collaboration with enterprise customers to address evolving requirements for high availability, performance, and scalability,” said Bie-i Chu, Executive Vice President of the Synology NAS Group. “After a year of extensive real-world validation through our enterprise proof-of-concept program, PAS7700 is field-proven to deliver high reliability and performance, while helping customers lower total cost of ownership (TCO).”
The PAS7700 is designed for organizations where storage performance has a direct impact on productivity and business continuity.

Synology said industries such as game development, semiconductor design, engineering consulting and manufacturing often manage large files, frequent rebuilds, multiple users, virtual machines, databases, and business-critical systems at the same time.
When the storage layer slows down, the company said the effect can be felt across teams, systems, and operations.
PAS7700 provides centralized high-performance storage with support for file storage, virtualized workloads, Fibre Channel connectivity, and active-active architecture.
The system is also designed to help businesses support future needs, including AI-related workloads, system expansion, and continuing operations with minimal disruption.
PAS7700 is equipped with dual controllers and 48 NVMe SSD bays in a 4U chassis.
The system can scale up to 1.65 PB of raw storage capacity with up to seven expansion units, according to Synology’s product specifications. (Synology)
It supports both file and block storage and offers broad protocol support, including NVMe-oF, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SMB, and NFS. (Synology)
With up to 2,048 GB of memory and 100GbE networking, PAS7700 delivers up to 2 million input/output operations per second, latency under 1 millisecond, and sequential throughput of up to 30 GB/s. (Synology)
Synology said the system is suited for data-intensive sectors such as data centers, manufacturing, semiconductor design, game development and healthcare.
These sectors rely on consistent performance and continuous service availability across multiple users and systems.
One of PAS7700’s key features is its active-active architecture.
Unlike traditional active-standby systems, both controllers can operate simultaneously.
If one controller or a network component fails, the system can continue delivering services, reducing the risk of business disruption.
PAS7700 is built with multiple protection layers to support high availability.
These include triple-parity RAID, mirrored write cache protection, IP failover, and automatic failover mechanisms.
The system also includes Continuous Availability Manager.
Synology said the tool allows enterprise IT teams to visually monitor the health status of each system component and quickly detect and address issues before they affect services.
The company also emphasized enterprise data protection as Philippine organizations face growing cybersecurity challenges tied to expanding digital operations and AI adoption.
Synology cited recent industry research showing that more than half of organizations across Asia Pacific are dealing with fragmented security systems and overwhelming volumes of security alerts.
PAS7700 supports Self-Encrypting Drives, or SEDs, which provide hardware-level protection without compromising system performance.
The system also supports WORM folders and immutable snapshots.
These features allow snapshots to remain protected from unauthorized modification or deletion after creation, reducing the risk of tampering and unauthorized data interference.
PAS7700 also supports Snapshot Replication and Hyper Backup.
Synology said these features allow enterprises to build multiple layers of backup and recovery between production environments and secondary systems.
The company said the approach strengthens cyber resilience and improves data recoverability in the event of incidents or cyberattacks.
“As businesses in the Philippines continue to accelerate digital transformation, reliable and resilient data infrastructure has become essential to maintaining competitiveness and ensuring uninterrupted operations,” said Claire Huang, Synology Country Manager for the Philippines. “PAS7700 enables enterprises to support mission-critical workloads while preparing for future growth and AI adoption.”
Synology said PAS7700 also addresses the challenge of optimizing long-term storage investment for enterprises.
As businesses expand data infrastructure, virtual machines, and internal AI workloads, the cost of high-speed storage is becoming a growing pressure on IT environments.
The company said PAS7700 supports both online and offline deduplication technologies.
These technologies help reduce unnecessary data usage and extend SSD lifespan, improving storage efficiency in large-scale data environments.
Synology said the system will soon support Synology Tiering.
The feature automatically moves infrequently accessed data to high-capacity storage systems, freeing up high-speed NVMe resources for active applications and hot data.
The platform runs on DSM Enterprise, Synology’s operating system developed specifically for enterprise storage.
Synology said DSM Enterprise is designed for environments that require high performance while maintaining intuitive management and operational simplicity.
PAS7700 is now available globally through Synology’s network of partners and distributors.
Synology Inc. is a global network-attached storage and data management company that provides solutions for businesses to protect and manage data.
The company said its products are used by organizations worldwide to secure and optimize critical data.
