Suspected thief arrested after 8 years of hiding

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A man long wanted for the crime of theft was arrested by police Tuesday morning at the house of a relative in Poblacion, Maayon, Capiz.
Members of the Maayon Municipal Police Station and 1st Capiz Police Mobile Force Company 3rd Maneuver Platoon nabbed Ariel Deocampo, 26, of Brgy. Maalan in Maayon, Capiz.
Judge Philip Aguinaldo of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Muntinlupa City issued the arrest warrant on April 10, 2014 in relation to Criminal Case No. 14-210.
The court recommended a P30,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
Deocampo is now in the custody of Maayon police station.
Police said that the suspect was also accused of murder in Brgy. Tuburan also in Maayon town. He went into hiding after the case was filed against him.
