ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two elderly women and a minor were injured in a robbery incident on Sunday at Sitio Dayas in Barangay Timpas, Panitan town.
Two suspects used a hammer to attack Lydia Deslate, 85, Angelita Deslate, 62, and a minor boy.
Reports from the Panitan Municipal Police Station indicate that Angelita was watching TV when she heard a loud noise coming from the kitchen. When she checked, she discovered that the wall, made of cement fiber, had been broken.
One of the suspects then hit her with a hammer from behind, causing her to lose consciousness.
The other victims went to the kitchen but were also attacked. The suspects also threatened to kill them if they did not hand over their cash, amounting to approximately P21,000.
The minor boy sought help from their neighbors, who took them to the hospital for treatment.
