BACOLOD City – About 10 unidentified armed men believed to be members of the New People’s Army (NPA) allegedly attacked the detachment of the Civilian Active Auxiliary (CAA) at Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Aug. 1, 2019.
Police records showed that the armed men open fired at the detachment around 9 p.m.
The firefight lasted for three minutes. Then the armed men fled towards Sitio Danao of the said village.
No casualties were reported on the government side, while undetermined on the enemy side.
