ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A woman filed charges against police officers who conducted a drug buy-bust operation on their house.
Juvy Apolinario of Sitio Pagutok Brgy. Milibili filed the complaint before the office of the Internal Affairs Service of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) in Brgy. Lanot here.
The complaint stemmed from the buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team(SDET) of the Roxas City PNP and the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA)-Capiz Provincial Office against Apolinario’s live-in partner June Laserna, 44, at Sitio Pagutok, Barangay Milibili here.
According to Apolinario, the operation conducted by the police was improper and illegal.
She said that some items from the house went missing after the operation.
Police bought from Laserna a plastic sachet of suspected shabu and P3,000 marked money. But he managed to flee after learning that he was transacting with a police officer.
According to Police Master Sgt Ramil Arcangeles, information officer of the Roxas City PNP, charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against Laserna.
