BACOLOD City – The Cauayan Municipal Police Station arrested a 64-year-old person for allegedly selling illegal drugs at Barangay Tuyom, Cauayan, Negros Occidental Monday morning.
The suspect was identified as Raynor Cañada of Tuyom village.
Cañada is the subject of a warrant of arrest in Criminal Case No. 2027-7716 for violation of Sec.5 Art.2 of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

According to Police Corporal Emmanual Edson Jamandre, Cañada was first arrested on September 2, 2017, but was released on May 10, 2018 after a plea bargaining agreement.
Police records also indicated that Cañada was also charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 (The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in September 2020
