BACOLOD City – The alleged No. 3 drug personality of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 and his companion were arrested in a buy-bust at Purok 13, Barangay Mandalagan here last Tuesday.
Police identified the suspects as Jessie Masgong, 34, of Barangay Tangub; and his alleged runner Christian Guinanao, 26, of Barangay 20 here.
Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said the two suspects were arrested at their boarding house where they allegedly yielded 105 grams of suspected shabu worth P714,000; the P500 marked money, and fake money used in the bust.
Masgong would reportedly ask Guinanao to get the contraband and the former will distribute it upon the instruction of their contact inside a jail here, according to Puerto.
But the station commander refused to elaborate further as investigation is ongoing.
Puerto said that Masgong was also reportedly on the drugs watchlist of Barangay Tangub.
He (Masgong) was even previously subjected to a drug bust in Barangay Tangub but he moved to Barangay Mandalagan, the station commander added.
Both suspects, who have yet to be reached for comment, are detained at the said police station.
