BACOLOD City – An alleged drug pusher was killed by four unidentified men at Barangay San Isidro, Toboso, Negros Occidental Friday.
Slain was Lady Sultan, 35, of the said village.
Police Major Joery Puerto, town police chief, said Sultan was taking a bath outside his house when the assailants on board two motorcycles arrived and shot him.
Puerto said the victim was hit on his right leg and was able to run a few meters away from his house towards the sugarcane field. However, the gunmen, who were also wearing masks, shot him again on the back and head.
The victim died on the spot.
Police recovered from the scene four empty shells of .45-caliber ammunitions.
Puerto said Sultan was previously arrested for a drug offense and was released after a plea bargaining agreement.
He also said that the victim was previously arrested in San Carlos City and moved to Calatrava town, where he was also monitored as a high value target drug personality.
When he transferred to Toboso town, he was also under monitoring for the same offense, the police chief added.
