Suspected drug peddler charged

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The police on Monday filed charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) against a 28-year-old person who was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation early last week.

The charges were filed against Josefino Bacalangco Jr. of Brgy. Barra here.

The suspect was arrested in a buy-bust conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in a pension house in Brgy. Baybay here.

Recovered from the suspect were 20 sachets of suspected shabu, P1000 marked money, cellphone, tooter, digital weighing scale, and several drug paraphernalia.

Police estimated the value of the illegal drug seized from Bacalangco at P60,000.

The suspect had just been released from jail months back after entering into plea bargaining in a previous drug case.
