ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A suspected drug peddler escaped from a buy-bust operation over the weekend.
Vincent Halican of Brgy. Dangula, Dumalag, Capiz scampered after sensing that he was dealing with an undercover cop Saturday afternoon at San Miguel, Dumalag.
Despite the escape, Police Staff Sgt. Peter Furigay, investigator of Dumalag PNP, said they recovered from Halican a sachet of suspected shabu which he sold for P5,000.
Aside from the illegal drug, the police also recovered from the suspect a motorcycle he used in the transaction.
The operation was jointly conducted by Tapaz and Dumalag police.
Furigay said the suspect is considered a high value target in Dumalag town
