Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for “Supergirl,” the latest DC Studios feature directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock, set to hit Philippine cinemas on June 24, 2026.
Alcock, best known for her breakout role in HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” takes on the dual role of Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, in what promises to be an emotionally charged, cosmic action epic.
The film follows Supergirl as she embarks on an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice after a ruthless enemy strikes dangerously close to home.
Joining Alcock in the cast are Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa, in a rare crossover within the DC Universe.
Craig Gillespie—renowned for stylish biographical dramas like “I, Tonya” and Disney’s “Cruella”—directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.
The film is produced by DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, and is based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
“Supergirl” is executive produced by Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther.
The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designer Anna B. Sheppard, visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, and acclaimed composer Ramin Djawadi, known for scoring “Game of Thrones” and “Westworld.”
DC Studios presents the film in collaboration with Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company.
“Supergirl” opens in IMAX and theaters across North America on June 26, 2026, with international screenings starting June 24, including the Philippines.
