Sunset Boulevard dispute over alleged exhibitionism settled

The two female complainants who accused a motorist of alleged exhibitionism have decided to settle their dispute.

There was no monetary consideration in the settlement.

Instead, the accused, 43-year-old alias “VC,” apologized, and the complainants, alias “Tata” and alias “Nene,” accepted the apology.

Tata, 27, a map specialist from Barangay Jalandoni Estate, Lapuz, Iloilo City, and Nene, 27, of Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo City, told police investigators they are no longer interested in filing a criminal or civil case against the alleged suspect.

Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, Oton police chief, said the women had executed an affidavit of non-interest.

The Iloilo City Police Station initially handled the investigation after authorities thought the portion of Iloilo Sunset Boulevard where the incident happened was part of Iloilo City.

After learning that the area is part of Barangay Cagbang, Oton, the Oton Municipal Police Station took over the case.

Police investigated and traced the vehicle to its driver, alias “VC,” a resident of Badiangan, Iloilo, who is temporarily residing at Florvel Homes in Barangay Buray, Oton, Iloilo.

Alias “VC” is a businessman, but the car used during the incident was registered under a company’s name.

Solis said police officers went to VC’s house around 8 a.m. on June 17.

He was not there.

More than two hours later, VC personally appeared at the Oton Municipal Police Station.

There, he met with the two complainants.

VC denied earlier claims that he was fondling his genitals and masturbating when the two women saw him.

Tata and Nene earlier claimed they were jogging at Iloilo Sunset Boulevard around 7:40 a.m. on June 15 when they saw a man standing near a parked vehicle who appeared to be engaging in exhibitionism.

They allegedly threatened to take a video of him.

In his defense, VC claimed he was about to urinate when he saw the two women.

He said what the two complainants allegedly saw was him unzipping his pants.

When the two threatened to take a video of him, he boarded the vehicle and sped off.

With the two women no longer interested in pursuing a case against VC, police deemed the case closed.
