ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 25-year-old sugarcane worker died from electrocution while doing welding works on his tricycle Sunday evening at Barangay Dulangan, Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Elian Aristoteles of said place.
According to Police Corporal Jaypee Tomogda, Pilar Municipal Police Station investigator, the victim was found by his family about 6:30pm shuddering while lying on the ground.
It is believed that the welding machine may have grounded which led to the incident.
Aristoteles was taken to Bailan District Hospital in Brgy. Bailan Pontevedra, Capiz where he died.
Meanwhile, a 46-year-old seaman died after being sideswiped by a motorcycle Saturday night at Barangay Santa Cruz, Dumalag, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Arvinito Borres of Barangay Poblacion of said town.
Borres was walking when he was sideswiped by a motorcycle driven by Ma. Christina Candido, 19, of Mambusao, Capiz.
Borres succumbed to fatal head injuries.
Candido voluntarily surrendered to Dumalag Municipal Police Station.
