Student killed in road mishap

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— An 18-year-old student was killed in a road collision Friday at Sitio Cabugao in Brgy.Dacuton Dumarao, Capiz.

Rollyn Beldia of said barangay was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the Rural Health Unit of Dumarao town.

Investigation by the Dumarao Municipal Police Station indicated that Beldia’s motorcycle crashed into a Toyota Innova driven by Edmund Solis, 47, of Poblacion Ilaya, Dumarao.

Solis was on his way home to Dumarao when the incident happened.

A witness told the traffic section of Dumarao PNP that Beldia’s face was covered with his shirt while driving his Bajaj motorcycle behind the Innova car.

It is believed that the shirt may have flipped and covered his face which made him unaware that he was already crashing into the rear part of the car.
