ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 14-year-old girl was injured after a compact sedan crashed into a house Thursday evening at Brgy. Lantangan, Pontevedra, Capiz.
The victim was identified as Marie (not her real name), a student and resident of said barangay.
Investigation by Pontevedra Municipal Police Station indicated that a Suzuki Celerio driven by Celso Arroyo, 39, of Brgy. Sambag, Jaro, Iloilo City was on his way to Roxas City when he lost control of the wheel and plowed into the victim’s house.
Arroyo was believed to be drunk while traversing the national highway.
The victim suffered injuries in different parts of her body and is presently confined to a hospital here.
Arroyo voluntarily surrendered to the police.
