ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A street vendor and former drug surrenderer was arrested Wednesday afternoon, January 10, in a buy-bust operation conducted by police at Sitio Railway in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
The police identified the suspect as Rocky Bolina, 30, and resident of Barangay 9 here.
Recovered from Bolina were 7 sachets of suspected shabu and P3,000 marked money.
Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, spokesperson of Roxas Component City Police Station, said the suspect was also nabbed two years ago after engaging in the illegal drug trade. He was released from jail after availing of a plea bargaining agreement.
But he was again placed under police surveillance following intelligence reports that he returned to selling drugs.
Bolina is presently in the custody of the Roxas City PNP while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
