ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A street-level individual was arrested Wednesday evening, June 17, in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police in Barangay 9.
Barangay 9 Councilor John Kent Macato identified the suspect as Anthony Albaladejo, alias “Nonoy,” 28, a resident of the area.
The suspect was previously arrested a few years ago in Barangay Punta Tabuc for the same offense.
Operatives recovered two sachets of suspected shabu from the suspect.
According to Macato, the suspect had no other bad record in the village.
A police poseur-buyer was able to buy a sachet of suspected shabu from the suspect for PHP 4,000.
Another sachet of suspected shabu was also recovered from him.
The seized illegal drugs weighed 5 grams and had a standard drug price of PHP 34,000.
The suspect is in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against him.
