ROXAS CITY, Capiz — An estimated PHP 254,000 in cash was stolen after unidentified persons broke into a store in Barangay Punta Tabuc here.
The store is owned by a 55-year-old businessman identified only as alias Richard.
Police said Richard discovered the robbery when he woke up around 7 a.m. on April 9.
He found the cash drawer under a table already opened and the money missing.
Closed-circuit television footage showed a suspect entering the store around 4:53 a.m. wearing a gray hooded jacket and red jogger pants.
The suspect destroyed the padlock on the store’s back door, took the money, and fled.
Police said they are reviewing additional CCTV footage to identify the suspect.
