Social Security System President and CEO Robert Joseph Montes De Claro and UnionDigital Bank President and CEO Danilo “Bong” J. Mojica II met on May 30, 2025, at the SSS main office to discuss potential partnership initiatives.
De Claro said SSS has agreed in principle to work with UnionDigital Bank on launching a micro lending program for members with 15- to 90-day terms.
He added the partnership aims to simplify transactions for overseas Filipinos and support the transfer of technology as SSS continues its digitalization efforts.
“Through our partnership with UnionDigital Bank, we look forward to further enhancing service delivery to all Filipino workers — service being our main thrust under this administration,” De Claro said.
He noted that a memorandum of agreement will be prepared to formalize the collaboration.
Mojica said UnionDigital Bank is eager to strengthen ties with SSS and collaborate on key digital initiatives.
“UnionDigital Bank fully supports SSS in its digitalization and service delivery efforts and commits to cooperate in any way to achieve these goals,” Mojica said.
The meeting reflects SSS’ commitment to partnering with innovative platforms to enhance online services for millions of members, especially overseas Filipino workers.
