BACOLOD City – Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said Sanggunian Panlalawigan members will be given the chance to preside in their sessions.
Ferrer, the official presiding officer of the SP, said the scheme will allow provincial board members to experience how it is to lead the sessions.
But he also said, “This would depend as well on the agenda.”
This week’s session was presided by 3rd District Board member Sixto Teofilo Roxas Villena “Pal” Guanzon.
Ferrer said they will also hold their session in the different localities in the province.
He said this is not only “bringing the government to the people” but also will allow the residents in the said localities to observe and see how their provincial officials conduct the sessions.
Ferrer said they hope to start holding the sessions in the localities within the year.
