BACOLOD CITY – A couple wanted for qualified theft was arrested at Purok 3, Barangay 5, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental on Oct 14.
Personnel of Sipalay City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Necerato Sabando served the arrest warrant against Sergeant Steve Itucas, 37, a member of the Army’s 12th Infantry Battalion (IB) based in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, and his wife Jocel Itucas, 28, both residents of Barangay 5.
The warrant was issued on July 25, 2019 by Judge Edwin Gomez of Regional Trial Court Branch 77.
Sabando said he has no knowledge about the offense committed by the couple since he just recently assumed his post at the said police station.
“We are just serving the arrest warrant based on the order of the court,” he added.
Sabando said the couple posted bail of P40,000 each for their provisional liberty after their apprehension.
