BACOLOD City – A member of the Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) died after his motorcycle rammed into a tricycle at Barangay Iglau-an, Murcia, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Killed in the accident was Christian Earl Pelongco, 38, of La Carlota City.
Police Captain Marc Joeil Reclamado, town police chief, said Pelongco was tailing a tricycle driven by Rodrigo Villamor when he crashed into the rear part of the tricycle that suddenly slowed down.
“Naglabog ni siya kag nagsulod sa may tricycle dampi,” Reclamado said.
Pelongco was on his way to work at the 303rd IBde headquarters based in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia town, when he figured in the accident.
Reclamado said that Pelongco suffered head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
Meanwhile, police said that a female passenger of the tricycle also suffered minor injuries.
