ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police launched a manhunt operation against a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman who allegedly stabbed dead a farmer early Friday morning, March 18, 2022, at Sitio Pinay, Brgy. Lacaron in Dao, Capiz.
Authorities identified the victim as Richard Baarde, a farmer and a welder from Brgy. Pasugue, Panitan town; while the suspect was identified as SK Chairman John Paul Delfin also of Pasugue.
Investigation by Dao Municipal Police Station indicated that Baarde was on his way home at around 2:18 a.m. when Delfin allegedly blocked his path and stabbed him in the lower portion of his chest.
Baarde was declared dead at Dao District Hospital in Dao, Capiz.
The police eyed old grudges as motive for the incident.
It was learned that another suspect was also linked to the incident.
