Six caught in ‘drug den’ bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Six persons, including a high-value individual (HVI), were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation inside an alleged drug den by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Capiz at Sitio Homesite in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City Wednesday afternoon, April 19.

The police identified the main subject of the bust as Gold Aringgo, 41, of said place.

Also arrested were Princess Arenajo, 29, of Ivisan town; Dothene Araque, 49, of Barangay Tiza; Gino Albarece, 32, of Barangay Lawaan; Jun Bartolo, 37; and Kent Fernandez, 34, both of Barangay Cagay here.

Recovered from Aringo were six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 5 grams and valued at P102,000; the P500 marked money, a cellphone, a weighing scale, 3 improvised tooters, 4 pieces of aluminum foil, 4 disposable lighters, and some drug paraphernalia.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspects who are presently in the custody of the Roxas City police station.
