BACOLOD City – An escapee of the Sipalay City Police Station in Negros Occidental was recaptured at Barangay Canturay yesterday after almost two months of hiding.
Police identified the suspect as John Mark Montano, 20, of Barangay San Jose.
Montano escaped from the jail October 12 and was arrested through an arrest warrant for carnapping. He is the 10th most wanted person in the city, police records showed.
Police recovered from Montano two sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a .38-caliber revolver with four live ammunitions, and two live .357-caliber ammunitions.
Montano is now detained at the police station.
