A 21-year-old single mother was arrested in a police anti-illegal drug operation afternoon of Nov 7, 2022 in La Paz, Iloilo City.
Quenny Genovania of Barangay Boulevard, Molo district, was nabbed during a buy-bust operation at Hechanova St., Barangay Bantud.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 2 collared Genovania after she handed a sachet of suspected shabu worth P7,100 to a police poseur-buyer.
Major Jose Val Ladublan, ICPS2 chief, said the suspect served as a runner for a drug pusher.
Genovania was monitored to be into peddling drugs in La Paz district a week ago.
“But we believed she’s also being told to deliver orders in other districts like Molo, Jaro and Mandurriao,” Ladublan said.
Genovania has claimed that she is jobless and was forced to enter the illegal drug trade for her child.
She was allegedly paid P300 to P500 depending on the volume of drugs she delivered.
Genovania is now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
