BACOLOD CITY – The Sing Philippines Youth Choir (SPYC), under the direction of esteemed conductor Mark Anthony Carpio, will perform a special fundraising concert on Sept. 9, 2025, at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum, with shows at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Recognized as one of the country’s premier choral ensembles, SPYC gathers talented young singers from across the Philippines, highlighting Filipino artistry and unity through music.
The concert will feature a diverse repertoire of timeless classics, Filipino masterpieces, and contemporary works, showcasing the transformative power of choral performance.
More than a musical showcase, the SPYC concert serves as a fundraising initiative for The Negros Museum’s TUKLAS (Tulong Kaalaman Senter) Center, a program supporting the education and cultural exposure of marginalized children in Negros.
It will also benefit Balay Munyeka, a museum dedicated to dolls from around the world, and the University of St. La Salle’s Artists’ HUB, which provides academic training and creative development for deserving student-artists.
Proceeds from the event will help provide creative learning opportunities and greater access to the arts for children and students who need it most.
SPYC will also host a choral workshop on Sept. 8, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., exclusively for select chorale groups in Bacolod and nearby areas.
The workshop offers a rare opportunity for aspiring singers and conductors to learn from SPYC’s distinguished mentors, further enhancing choral excellence in the region.
The event is made possible through the partnership of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Negros Cultural Foundation Inc., in collaboration with the University of St. La Salle, the Province of Negros Occidental, and local cultural institutions committed to supporting world-class performances and meaningful artistic exchanges.
Tickets are now available.
For reservations and inquiries, contact Noel at 0946-289-4896 or email negrosculturalfoundation.inc@gmail.com.
Be part of this celebration of harmony and compassion—witness the Sing Philippines Youth Choir and help support the children of Negros through music.
