Philippine National Police chief General Debold Sinas brought cheers to some personnel of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) headquarters following his visit to Iloilo City on Monday, February 8.
During his talk, Sinas asked if who among the police officers present are celebrating their birthday in February as he will give them P10,000 cash gift each.
Not less than 20 personnel came forward.
For March celebrators, Sinas said in jest that they should wait if he could make a visit next month.
The next surprise gift?
Sinas announced a P25,000 cash gift for policemen who will get married in March.
This was the first time for Sinas to visit Iloilo City since he assumed as PNP chief late last year.
He was in Negros Occidental over the weekend before proceeding to Iloilo City on Monday.
He was supposed to stay until late afternoon of Tuesday but had to cut short his visit as he had to attend a Senate inquiry.
Before ending his trip, he also met with ranking officials of the Philippine Army in the region.
