Sigma’s top 6 most wanted arrested in Batangas

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man listed as the No. 6 most wanted person in Sigma, Capiz, was arrested in a joint police operation in Batangas City.
Police Maj. Marvin Balmes, Sigma police chief, identified the suspect as alias Rodel, a laborer and resident of Barangay Bangon Bangon, Sigma, who was temporarily residing in Kumintang Ibaba, Batangas City.
A warrant for Rodel’s arrest was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Daniel Antonio Gerardo S. Amular of Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz, on June 19, 2014, for the crime of rape.
The court recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.
The operation was conducted by the Sigma Municipal Police Station as lead unit with the Batangas Component City Police Station in a support role.
The suspect is under the custody of the Sigma Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
The Sigma local government under Mayor Dante Rizal Eslabon had previously offered a PHP 50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects wanted for rape.
The names and photographs of the suspects had been posted at the public plaza and municipal building of Sigma for public identification.
