BACOLOD CITY — The City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two siblings in a buy-bust operation that allegedly yielded PHP 680,000 worth of suspected shabu in Purok Fatima 2, Barangay Sum-ag, on Tuesday.
Police identified the suspects as alias “Em-em,” 31, and his sister, alias “Polite,” 41, both residents of the village.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant CDEU head, said Em-em, who was tagged as a high-value individual, was arrested for a drug offense in 2016 and was later released through plea bargaining.
Legada added that Em-em had a homicide case in 2019 in Barangay 12 and was reportedly involved in a series of robbery incidents in the city.
His sister, Polite, was classified as a street-level individual and was arrested for a drug offense for the first time, according to Legada.
Police seized 100 grams of suspected shabu from the siblings, who will be charged with sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
The Bacolod City Police Office said it is committed to intensifying its anti-illegal drug campaign and continuing efforts to eradicate illegal drugs in the community in line with the directives of the Philippine National Police.
