Siblings killed in road mishap

Police Staff Sergeant Hilbert Dela Vega, investigator of the Pilar Municipal Police Station, identified the victims as Ronelo Benjamin, 35, and Albert Benjamin, 32, both residents of Barangay Cayus also in Pilar town.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two brothers died in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening at Barangay Poblacion, Pilar, Capiz.
Police Staff Sergeant Hilbert Dela Vega, investigator of the Pilar Municipal Police Station, identified the victims as Ronelo Benjamin, 35, and Albert Benjamin, 32, both residents of Barangay Cayus also in Pilar town.
Police investigation indicated that the victims, who were believed to be drunk, were on their way home from a benefit dance when they lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a concrete road barrier.
Ronelo’s leg was severely fractured while Albert suffered head injuries.
Both the victims were declared dead on arrival in a hospital.
