A suspected drug peddler was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation late afternoon of September 28, 2021 in Dingle, Iloilo.
Johnson Mark Diacuna (who also goes by the name Johnson Mark Dangautan), 32, a resident of Barangay Nazuni, Dingle, Iloilo, was nabbed in a buy-bust operation at Caguyuman village 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 (PDEA-6, Dingle Police Station, and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (IPPO-PDEU) conducted the operations against Diacuna after a two-month surveillance.
He was collared after selling a sachet of suspected shabu.
When frisked, four more sachets of suspected shabu were taken from his possession.
Diacuna admitted to police that he used illegal drugs a week before when he attended a birthday party in Passi City. He claimed to be an occasional shabu user.
Diacuna also claimed asking some friends to give him their share of shabu so he can use drugs.
The suspect incoherently claimed that his friend left the shabu in a waiting shed and asked him to give it to someone else.
When asked who ordered him to do it, he claimed he didn’t know their names.
He also alleged that he did not own the drugs seized from his possession.
Diacuna is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
