A suspected pusher was arrested in a police anti-illegal drug operation evening of April 25, 2021 in La Paz, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspect as Cesar Cañesares Jr., 28, a resident of Barangay Baldoza La Paz, where the operation took place.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drugs Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) arrested Cañesares after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P2,000.
When frisked, the suspect yielded six more sachets of illegal drugs.
Police said the seized substance was valued of P13,600.
Just like most suspects, Cañesares claimed that financial difficulty drove him to go into the illegal drug trade.
He said he needed to have money for his wife, who is about to give birth.
A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Acts of 2002) will be filed against the suspect.
