ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A Serbian national is the latest and seventh Person Under Investigation (PUI) for suspected coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Capiz.
According to a press release from the Capiz Provincial Health Office (PHO), the PUI is an 80-year-old Serbian who stayed in Hong Kong for about 40 years.
Dr. Samuel Delfin, provincial health officer, said the foreigner arrived in the country for vacation on Jan 28, 2020.
But on February 10, he suffered a cough followed by fever and hardness of breathing the reason why he sought medication and is presently under quarantine in a hospital here.
His specimen was taken and sent to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Alabang, Muntinlupa for tests.
The Department of Health said Western Visayas remains COVID-19 free.
