Senior citizen fatally stabbed in Maayon, Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 65-year-old man died after he was stabbed allegedly by a motorcycle rider Saturday evening, Aug. 22, in Sitio Manug-agboy, Barangay Balighot, Maayon, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Roberto Bornales Doloroc, a resident of the area.
An initial investigation by the Maayon Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Jomari Villanueva Dolfo, 25, also a resident of the area.
Police said Dolfo passed by the victim’s house and repeatedly revved his motorcycle engine, prompting Doloroc to complain about the loud noise and ask him to stop and move elsewhere.
A heated argument followed.
Police alleged that the suspect then took a knife and stabbed Doloroc in the neck and abdomen.
The victim was taken to Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra, where he was declared dead on arrival at about 11:26 p.m.
The suspect later voluntarily surrendered to Barangay Balighot Councilor Elmer Bitbit.
He is in the custody of the Maayon Municipal Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges.
