Senior citizen couple loses P170K cash to robbers

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Robbers divested P170,000 cash and a ring worth P15,000 from a senior citizen couple Wednesday evening at Brgy. Balingasag Cuartero, Capiz.

Couple Edgardo Benarao, 74, and Lauriana Benarao, 73, complained to Cuartero Municipal Police Station that unidentified persons entered their house by detaching the window jalousie.

The couple said the suspect took the money and the ring placed inside a cabinet.

The victims were not home when the robbery incident happened.
