Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri on Thursday asked the national government to hasten the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to the countryside.
Zubiri said 15 percent of the Filipinos have been vaccinated as of now.
He also discouraged the spreading of fake news about the vaccines citing that some people are afraid to get vaccinated for fear that they will become zombies.
“So far I for one has not turned into a zombie,” Zubiri said in a virtual press conference with the Bacolod media here Thursday.
He cited a survey indicating that 36 percent of Filipinos are afraid to get vaccinated while 43 percent believed in the vaccine.
