PASIG CITY — The Senate and the House of Representatives posted improved performance ratings in March 2026, recovering from declines recorded late last year, according to the latest Philippine Public Opinion Monitor by WR Numero.
The survey showed that 35.7% of Filipinos approved of the Senate’s performance, up 10.9 percentage points from 24.8% in November 2025.
Dissatisfaction with the Senate declined to 34.6%, down 5 percentage points, while 29.8% of respondents remained undecided, a decrease of 5.7 percentage points.
According to the chart on Page 3 of the report, Senate satisfaction rebounded to 36% in March 2026 after dipping to 25% in November 2025, while dissatisfaction eased to 35% from a peak of 40% in the same period.
Senate President Vicente Sotto III also saw improved ratings, with his job approval rising to 38.5% from 32.9% in November 2025.
His dissatisfaction rating declined slightly to 28.2%, while 28.7% of respondents were undecided and 4.7% said they were unfamiliar with him.
The House of Representatives likewise recorded gains, with 35% of Filipinos expressing satisfaction, up from 27% in November 2025.
However, disapproval of the House remained unchanged at 35%, while the share of undecided respondents dropped to 30% from 38%.
House satisfaction climbed back to 35% in March 2026 after falling to 27% in November 2025, while dissatisfaction remained steady at 35%.
House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III’s performance ratings improved to 18% from 14%, while dissatisfaction declined to 13% from 17%.
Despite the gains, nearly half of respondents, or 50%, said they were unfamiliar with Dy, while 19% remained undecided about his performance.
Meanwhile, district representatives continued to receive high satisfaction ratings from their constituents, with approval rising to 71% from 63%.
Dissatisfaction with district representatives declined to 10.4% from 12.6%, while 13% of respondents remained undecided and 6% said they did not know their representative.
The survey was conducted from March 10 to 17, 2026, through face-to-face interviews with 1,455 respondents nationwide.
It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points at the national level and a 95% confidence level, with subnational margins of error of plus or minus 7 percentage points for the National Capital Region, plus or minus 4 percentage points for the rest of Luzon, and plus or minus 6 percentage points each for the Visayas and Mindanao.
The Philippine Public Opinion Monitor, conducted quarterly by WR Numero, tracks public sentiment on key national issues, including legislative performance and governance, ahead of the 2028 elections.
