The victim was identified as Joserey Jaranilla, 51, of the said village.
Police Captain Dax Santillan, head of Police Station 6, said Jaranilla was walking home when he was allegedly tailed by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) around 8 p.m.
The car then came near him and unidentified persons repeatedly shot him before fleeing.
Santillan said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the body and head. He was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
