PILAR, Capiz — The Pilar PNP arrested a security guard considered a High Value Individual (HVI) after unlicensed firearms and sachets of suspected illegal drugs were recovered during a buy-bust operation Thursday morning, Feb. 19, in Brgy. San Esteban, Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as alias Toto, 52, a security guard and resident of Brgy. San Antonio, Pilar.
A concerned citizen informed duty personnel at the Pilar PNP station that the suspect was carrying an unknown-caliber firearm while walking along the road.
Police immediately responded and caught the suspect carrying a .38-caliber revolver with no serial number and three live rounds without pertinent papers.
During a search incidental to the arrest, police recovered two heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3 grams with an estimated standard drug price of PHP 20,400.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Pilar PNP under the supervision of the Capiz Provincial Police Office.
The suspect is under the custody of Pilar PNP for proper disposition.
