ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A security guard was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted Sunday night, April 13, in Barangay San Julian, Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as alias “Jay,” 35, a street-level individual and resident of Barangay San Nicolas, Tapaz.
He was arrested after handing over a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for PHP1,100 in marked buy-bust money to a police poseur buyer.
During a body search, police recovered three more sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP13,600.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station, and charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against him.
Police said the buy-bust was the result of a week-long surveillance operation.
