Seaman dead, pal injured in motorcycle crash

BACOLOD City – A seaman was killed, while his companion was wounded after they figured in a motorcycle accident at Purok Villa Lourdes, Barangay Pahanocoy here yesterday.
Police identified the fatality as Michael Jun Lobaton, 31, of Barangay Sum-ag here.
Wounded was Jorell Olanday, 30, of Barangay Sum-ag.
Police Captain Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, said that Lobaton was allegedly speeding when he lost control over his driven motorcycle and crashed into a post.
Mercado said the victims came from a birthday party and were reportedly under the influence of liquor.
Olanday is confined in a hospital here.
